HELP!!!! I have a ten year old quarter horse mare who cant keep the hair at the top of her tail. She rubs but is wormed requlary, eats good quality hay and grain and the tail is bathed weekly with special soap and conditioners. The hair is brittle and breaks off and then grows back in white (she is bay). The bottom hairs are soft and silky and the rest of her coat is the same. We have tried everything including cowboy magic and listerine etc. Her mane is just fine. We live in Canada and get cold winters and hot summers. I'm wondering if she isnt getting out enough.(lacking in a vitamen).

Please help if you can.
