if my horse gets a cut it takes months for it to heal no matter what i put on it to help. he's only 3 so it can't be his age that slowing it down. could there be a reason for this? and can anyone suggest something else that i could use when he does get a cut. I've been using wound powder and mirrical healing gel.

Not knowing what the active ingredients in the medications you describe I cannot comment on your choice of treatments. It is more likely that if you are experiencing unusually long healing periods that your treatment is the cause.
