Hello, My gelding has had hives now since the end on May. I give him dex. paste and they go away for a day. I am trying to use less dex. and more natural remedies, I am trying Apis but so far it hasn't had much affect on the hives. Someone also suggested sulphur. I noticed that that is one of the ingredients in cough free and am wondering if that is why it seems to help. Does anyone know what I can do for the hives topically? These hives are driving me crazy. Thank You..Susan

Susan we have some topical, even nondrug, remedies in the article associated with this discussion. To reach that article click on » Hives, Wheals, and Urticaria in Horses » off the navigation frame above.
