One of the horses at our boarding facility has a white tube about 3/8 in diameter and about a half an inch long growing out of all four hooves between the bulbs. They look like plastic. This has happened within a week.
I have never seen anything like this before. Can anyone shed some light on this? He is not lame and it does not seem to bother him.

Hilma, I have seen horses that form extra horn at this location, could you take a picture for us?
