Can anybody tell me anymore about age related cataracts I have just been told my 20 year old pony has small cataracts in both eyes that do not obscure looking into the eye and are probably not causing any loss of vision. The pony is showing no sign of loosing vision. My question is how likely are the cataracts to be progressive and any indication of how quickly I could expect vision problems to occur.

Helll Kate,
The prognosis of cataracts is not made so much on when they arrise but by their caracteristics and location. See the article associated with this forum for specifics. You can just click on Cataracts in Horses above to take you to the articles link.
