  Discussion on Ace injectable on food?

I was told that I could put the acepromozine injectable on the grain for the horse to sedate the horse.
I was also told that the expiration date on the bottle would not be any problem with this.
I am totally confused> Please advise as to the safety of doing this.

Yes ace can be put directly on the feed but I am not so sure about using stuff that is out of date, I try and avoid it.
