Dr. O, I bought some hCG (Chorulon) from my vet and was wondering how long can I store the unused reconstituted portion and if it has to be frozen or in the fridge. If the product is not reconstituted, what would the shelf life be? Thank you! Rafael

I have never bought that brand and depending on several factors (the presence of preservatives for instance) different products will have different recommendations. So you need to get a hold of that specific products insert for proper directions. The brands we are currently using, Novarel, has a recommendation of refrigeration and a 60 days shelf life after reconstitution. Products with no preservative may be just one time use and discarded immediately following reconstitution. DrO

I use this product. It has an expiration date on the vial with the powder in it, I believe. Seems to me it might be good for a year. After it is mixed with the liquid solution it is good for about 14 days, refrigerated. I try to use it within 10 days, just to be safe. EO

I forgot to mention, it needs to be refrigerated before and after reconstitution. EO
