Is there any reason why I couldn't use Ben-Gay on my horse's back? It seems like he has back pain lately. I see that it says it should not be swallowed - I could only see that the only way a horse could get any amount of this in him (a very small amount) is by biting his neck or back after it was applied. I would make sure it wasn't coated on his skin (have no idea if this wouldn't soak in through the hair). Maybe it would keep bugs away, too?

Ben-Gay is a mild irritant Nadia, this is how it produces the sensation of heat. I would not put it on the horses back as it may be irritating, especially under a saddle.
