Can Tildren or TiluDrOnate disodium or Skelid be used to treat sesamoiditis?

I have learnt that Tildren prevents resorption.

Can it reshape the sesamoids and bring them back to their original size?

Doses and length of treatment?

Hello tentpeg,
Not having examined your horse I cannot make specific recommendations. In general I can say I do not know of any research that helps to answer your question of whether it might make your horse well. As I understand it, and as explained in the article, these drugs do not help rebuild the bone except by slowing further absorption. Dosages that have been used in other horses are explained in the article. For specific recommendations you should consult with your veterinarian.
