Hello Dr. O
Brought this up in another discussion with you but thought this might be the appropriate place to ask about the exposed mare. Was unable to find any info as to how late in the pregnancy they can or will abort and also as to whether or not there is anything I need to do for the foal when it's born. Right now the mare is showing no signs of infection / strangles and is due in about 17 days.
Thanks,
Mel

Actually Melanie let's keep the discussion together so that those reading your posts can follow the case, after it is a closed case we may move it to a more appropriate place.

Hello Dr. O
I can't find where the post went about the yearling with strangles, but regarding the mare that was possibly exposed and had a knot on her jaw and one on her neck, here is her update:
knot on neck is gone, still has a small knot on her jaw, no symptoms other than very..very pregnant and due any day (according to foaling calc. March 17). Any bets on date and sex (smile)
