My husband and I had a disagreement over the issue of whether a mare can be exercised after AI. Our vet told him last year that the mare should not receive ANY exercise other than pasture turnout for the first 30 - 45 days after AI. I can't think of any reason why light, regular, non-stressful exercise should be avoided. (She is a fit reining horse) Will trotting in a round pen for 5 minutes, 2 times per day cause her to not conceive?

I don't know of any reason Valerie that exercise following going out of heat cannot be done.
