You've been a great help to me in the past, and I miss needing you now....at age 72.....I decided to retire from horsing around myself!

Yesterday the farrier came along with the vet ... They were both really pleased with her progress as am I ... I really have just posted this to let other owners of bad rotation cases know that all is not lost and not to give up.... our hard work seems to be paying off. Of course the advise I have been given from this site has been invaluable. For this I thank you.

Dear DrO:
I contacted you about six months ago ...You advised me to try... His eyes have completely cleared with no problems. His eyes look completely normal. Thank you so much for your advice, I am so grateful I now have a horse that leads a happy productive life. I have started training and riding him and he is an extremely bright and and nice moving horse. Thank you again

This is the kind of post that does more than make our day but our whole endeavor at www.horseadvice.com worthwhile:

Dr O;
Just thought I would DrOp you a note and inform you of the progress with my gelding...He is not shod, no boots, and he performed flawlessly,even running uphill for over a mile. Not even a hint of lameness during or after event...I still have my horse and he is happy and the bond of trust we have in each other cannot be explained but I will always be a rich man because of it. And finally I can once again enjoy the beauty and grace of watching him run thru the pasture, head and tail in the wind, like only an Arab can. Once again, Thank You and all the other posters for their help.

Dr. O and all other members,
I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful and educational website. I've been on the board for about a year and a half, and I've learned a lot. It's great to have a truthful and resourceful place on the web to check facts against. It's also entertaining to see items in Dr. O's articles that are just now showing up in some other horse periodicals. Keep up the good work.
Kellie

I wanted to give you all a quick update after heeding all of the advice you gave,....I'm on cloud nine and have regained some faith in her as well as realising how much I was using my hands to balance myself....So, I just wanted to say thanks for all of you who posted advice. I'm sure she won't always be as perfect as today but at least I know the potential is there and how to move forwards with this.

OOps!!!! Never Mind my earlier question! I just realized I looked in the wrong section. I should have KNOWN that I would find this answer on "The Advisor" and indeed, just what I was looking for is under: "Planning and planting new Pasture".

I must say that the better I get to know this site, the more I am impressed with the comprehensiveness and quality of information you have compiled for us. This subscription has turned out to be one of the best and most enjoyable investments I have made for my education and my goal of one day becoming a knowledgeable "horse-woman"!
