I have a weanling filly and I want to turn her out with another weanling colt. Is this advisable or would there be any problems with the two getting along? I would not be able to separate them after turning them out so I need advise first.

When I wean my foals, I wean them all together at the same time, so there is a mix of fillies and colts. I will keep them together until they are about a year old unless I see that the colts have "DrOpped." I have never had any problems with this method.

Good luck,
Melissa
