Hello,
Does anyone know of any good/unusual resources to buy tack, particularly bridles on the internet? I am looking for someone unusual beside State Line and Dover, you know the saddle maker in his shop trying to make a living!

I have spent some time looking at places on the net because I was searching for a particular type of headstall (I wanted one that had a strip of leather running vertically down the face from the browband to caveson that I'd seen on a TW) that I never found; however, I did find some neat places that sold tack. My favorite discovery was The Brown Cow Saddle Blanket Company in Santa Fe: https://www.libertyleather.com/default.htm

Though I haven't ordered from them, their products are just gorgeous. And a tad expensive! Has anyone out there tried their products?

For very basic but well-made leather products, you can try Liberty Bell Leather at https://www.libertyleather.com/default.htm

Their catalog is limited and the items are not fancy, but I ordered the heavy duty halter/bridle combo and it was extremely well made and very reasonably priced. I was also very happy with the braided leather reins that I ordered with it. For good working tack, I'd give them a look. These guys do seem to be the saddle makers trying to make a living! And very helpful too.
