Discussion on Need a pad that relieves withers pressure

I have a reining saddle that was purchased last year, and it doesn't fit my gelding as well as I'd like it to. It's putting too much pressure behind his withers, and also pinching or rubbing right at the cinch rings, because this fall his hair grew in grey at exactly those spots.
I had purchased a few years back a customizable saddle pad that I quite like, Port Lewis Saddle pads, https://portlewisworkshop.com/Port_Lewis/home.html. Using this pad and the impression pad, you can accurately detect areas of pressure, and build your pad to relieve it. I've had great success with it, but the problem now is that this saddle is much larger than my previous ones and the pad is too small to give proper support. I'm going to try and contact them to see if they have a larger option, haven't seen anything on their website.
Anyway, if I follow the practice that has worked for me with this saddle fitting system, what I need now is a saddle pad that is thinner behind the withers than any other area. I can't find anything like this so far. Everything is designed to pad the withers, or solve bridging. I have neither problem. I also hope that whatever I find will have a thin layer that extends farther down the rib cage, to pad a little further below the cinch rings.
I ride western, competing in team penning and reining. When I practice I only use a pad, but at shows add a thin blanket over it.
Any suggestions?
