I am horse hunting and have found an 8 yo American Quarter Horse not too far away.

He is apparently a weaver when food arrives and if he is in stable and lots of activity on yard. Back in April he came out stiff one morning, owner had vet out but nothing conclusive found. He is apparently better for exercise.

What front leg problems does weaving cause as first thought was arthritis but he is only 8? Farrier has put on concussion pads in his shoes to see if that helps. Have not seen him yet but am debating whether to give him a miss though he is a real stunner from photos, dapple palomino.

I try to avoid horses with serious stall vices but I don't think the weaving is likely to cause front limb problems.
