Discussion on Need Lethal White Foal SynDrOme Allowance Contract | |

Posted on Wednesday, Jul 4, 2001 - 12:34 am: I have some folks interested in my AQHA solid mare, but they want to trade their APHA splash overo mare, who is bred to a APHA splash overo stud. Neither has been tested for OWLS. I'm looking for a sale/trade agreement/contract that could be amended to contain an allowance for, in the event of the occurrence of lethal white foal synDrOme upon birth of the foal, another breeding to a different stallion, preferably of my choosing. Technically, foal will stand and suck. If it is born with both genes, it will also die within 24 - 48 hours. I will also need language for this amendment. |

You may want to have a legal expert word it for you in such a way that if the foal dies - PERIOD - and it is shown to have expired due to Lethal White Foal SynDrOme, you then have the option of rebreeding to a different comparably-priced stallion of your choice.Bonnie |

You could call them or email them with your questions and they respond very fast. You might consider that if you have a lethal white, that they give you back the price of the breeding and then you can find a stallion you like and breed to. This way you can take your time and research some of the studs and not have to worry about a time frame.Hope this helps. Mary |

When I used to breed paint thats all I had were QH mare to breed to my paint stud. If you do this you might want to find a breeder whoguarantees color. Mary |
