Hello from Horseadvice.com,
We are reviving a tradition at Horseadvice where active discussion are a daily event by elevating every membership to a posting member. Have questions about your horse or horse care you should give us a try, post it to the boards. If you see something posted of interest add your 2 cents! This email explains the changes and in the meantime I will be updating the site. See you there.
Horseadvice has moved! Not to a new address but to a new content management system (CMS). On the surface not much will change. Site address is the same. Your username and password are the same. Structure is almost identical to the past, with the familiar menu system that leads down to related children topics to the pertinent article. As before there is a discussion area at the bottom of each article. The search engine will deliver the most pertinent information at the top as before. However there is much that is improved. Below we discuss:
- Improved site functionality
- Your Membership Changes
- Entering your Payment Information
Improved Functionality
Horseadvice.com’s old content management system is becoming increasingly incompatible with modern internet standards, operating systems, and programs. The new CMS addresses these deficiencies:
- The most up to date security systems insuring your profile as well as your account protection.
- A much more integrated and responsive profile and account system so you can better manage your membership.
- Improved membership functionality with the ability to set subscribed forums and subscribed and favorite topics, new topic lists, and other new features coming soon.
- Increased payment options.
Changes and Current Status of your Membership
Transferred Information
Currently your active membership has been transferred to the new system including your
- username
- password
- address
- when you joined
- your last payment date
- your next renewal date
One big change is we no longer have a non-posting level of membership, instead all members will be able to post from here on out. There are 3 membership options, one that renews yearly ($48.00), renews quarterly ($20.00), and renews monthly ($9.00). We have adjusted your membership to reflect your current renewal schedule but to continue your membership past your renewal date, we need your input. Read on:
Not Transferred: Payment Information (This is where we need your help)
What has not been moved to the new Horseadvice is your payment information. The old system was very secure when it came to your payment information so your payment details are NOT portable. To continue your membership past your renewal date without interruption of service you will need to enter payment information.
Use this link Add Payment Method to go to Your Account’s account information login and then enter your payment details. Your card will not be charged until your next renewal date. Check the update all subscription box.If you need it there is a lost password form on the page and if your email has changed email us at Administration.Once you have added your payment information to your account you can adjust your membership level. The form will both prorate your time and costs. This form can be found in your account page under There is also a lost password link that will find your information as long as your email is current in our database.
Thank You
I want to thank you all for your support and let you know we are recommiting to our goal of the most up to date and accurate equine health resource available and want to recreate the community that Horseadvice members have had in the past. We invite you to come along.

I would really like to renew my membership and switch from monthly to annual, and the system will not allow it. Please let me know how to change my subscription status from monthly to annual, since $48 annual is way cheaper than $9 monthly!
Thank you.

Hi Julie,
On top of that your new membership will have posting rights (as you see here). Cancelled memberships that have not had a previous renewal on this system cannot be undone (this is some sort of law that applies to cc processing companies) but we would love to have you back. The solution here is to just start a new membership and select the yearly option. Looking forward to seeing you back!
