Profile vs Account What is the difference?

There are two areas in Horseadvice where you can edit your information: your profile and your account.

Your Profile is where you can find your membership and posting information like past postings of yours, and your subscribed / favorite topics. You can also place in here any details about yourself that you want displayed when members click on you name in topics and replies you have created. Note that only other members can access your Profile and you have control over what is displayed there.

Access your profile from any page using either the link on the main menu labeled: Edit Profile / Account or clicking on your username in the top right corner of each page.

Your Account is where you access and edit details about your subscription and payment. You access this area from within your Profile with the “My Account / Payment Settings” link: Any Page > Profile / Account > My Account / Payment Settings.

In your account you can update your payment information, update your subscription level, and cancel your subscription (but who would want do that?).
