Introduction

Though there is a paucity of scientific information supporting its use in horses, neither is their a lot of work suggesting it is not useful. There has been a study of horses with chronic back pain of unknown cause. There was a significant improvement in the treated group. An unusual finding was that it did not matter greatly how the horse was stimulated or exactly which points were stimulated. This article consists of summaries of clinical trials of accupuncture treatments.
